1.Lalbagh Palace

This kingly royal residence spread over a sprawling 28 acres is one of the best places to visit in Indore. It allows you to glimpse through the rich heritage of this historic city and gives you a taste of the lavish lifestyle of the Holkar rulers. Hugely influenced by the European style of architecture, be prepared to be bowled over by grand Italian columns, gorgeous chandeliers, rich Persian carpets, and exquisite stained glass windows. A noteworthy feature is the use of elevators in those times to deliver food to the dining halls, a living testimony to the grand lifestyle of the Holkars in many of the Indore tourist places. Now converted to a museum displaying extraordinary exhibits from the glorious era.

     2.Rajwada Palace

Rajwada Palace is located in the center of the city this palace built by the Holkar dynasty in 1717AD, the beauty of Rajwada Palace still continues, this two-century ancient seven-story historical palace is built in sync with Muslim, Maratha, and French styles. The three lower floors of Rajwada Palace is built of stone and the upper floor is made of wood, due to which it is not safe from fire, Rajwada burnt three times in its history. Today only the outer part remains the same. it is a marvelous example of central India's rich history. so put this place in your travel checklist. 

3.Patalpani Waterfall

Patalpani is located 30km away from Indore city, naturally beautiful and approx. 300ft. high. people come here to picnic and trekking. according to Indian mythology, this waterfall pit goes as deep as patal (underworld). therefor this waterfall is known as Patal-Pani. a railway line passes passing along the area which makes this place more admirable.

4.Krishnapura Chhatris 

this three chattri like structure built by the Holkars dynasty as a monument to house the remains of the dynasty's Rulers. All three of chhatris are located half a kilometer away from Rajwada Palace. The complex contains three chhatris and five cenotaphs. Steps from the back of the site lead to the bank of the nearby Kahn river. The chhatris are made of several different types of stone and feature elaborately carved exteriors and columns.

5.Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary

The Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary, it is spread over five square kilometers area. it is the home of various species of birds, animals, and other wildlife.this place is also built by Holkars and used as hunting hut for the royal dynasty, therefore, this sanctuary also known as shikargah( hunting lodge). it had a huge population of tigers, leopards. and deers. this place also popular for trekking and camping.
